Youngest's training did a 1v1 tournament tonight. He's technically okay, but managed to win it with his tried and trusted method of somehow being stronger than everyone else. A kid almost as big as me just bounced off him and ended up having a lie down for a bit.

That self reflection one is a big one. My own son seems to be able to put what we do in training into matches better than the other kids, and now I'm wondering if it's because we chat about what we did on the way home. How can I encourage other parents to do this, share my session plans with them?

Decent stats for both lads today in training. Almost 10k for the youngest, almost 9k for the eldest. Not bad for him, especially as his team do a lot of standing in lines. Youngest doesn't, but that's because I coach them.
