With the support of Dogs Trust, this research has the potential to set new standards for animal welfare monitoringβproviding a scalable, objective approach to understanding and improving the lives of dogs in kennels.

- Developing an automated video analysis system to optimise data collection & processing
- Training deep neural networks to track canine posture & movement - Identifying behaviours through clustering techniques
- Creating a real-time monitoring tool to support welfare assessments
This project aims to transform how we assess and monitor the welfare of kennelled dogs using AI. By using deep learning and computer vision, weβre developing a non-invasive system to track posture and behaviour in real timeβhelping us better understand stress and wellbeing in kennelled dogs
