I have had more than one patient in the last WEEK cry real tears of joy to my face that they would β€œat least get to eat for a few days” when I handed them a bag of Cup o Noodles, Nutrigrain bars, and Rice Krispy Treats.

But gosh am I happy someone invested in this drunk robot

Federal jury awards $112M to immigrants detained by Suffolk for ICE A federal jury found the county and the Sheriff's Office violated the Constitutional rights of 674 people.

Wow, a Long Island jury awarded $112 Million to 674 immigrants who were unlawfully held by county police so they could be handed over to ICE

Eating a sundae with a long spoon is the height of decadence. The longer the spoon the more decadent it is. Ideally you shouldn't even be in the same room as the sundae

The NYPD’s Watchdog Whitewashed More Than 10,000 Misconduct Allegations in Public Data, New Evidence Shows Allegations of lying, sexual misconduct, bigoted statements, and racist policing were among those quietly reclassified by the Civilian Complaint Review Board.

New data shows that the CCRB retroactively doctored public data for more than 10,000 misconduct allegations against NYPD officers.

This article, which I am not paying for, starts with Chuck asking moderates to wait until November, which they did. But that’s not what the headline says- it just says he fought for extension, MISLEADING.

Then it praises Chuck, saying it would have been a lot shorter without him.

Fluff piece lol

Screenshot of a tweet from Joyce Carol Oates posted on Sunday, November 9th that reads "so curious that such a wealthy man never posts anything that indicates that he enjoys or is even aware of what virtually everyone appreciates--scenes from nature, pet dog or cat, praise for a movie, music, a book (but doubt that he reads); pride in a friend's or relative's accomplishment; condolences for someone who has died; pleasure in sports, acclaim for a favorite team; references to history. in fact he seems totally uneducated, uncultured. the poorest persons on Twitter may have access to more beauty & meaning in life than the "most wealthy person in the world."

Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.

Border Patrol Agents Pose At The Bean For Apparent Photo Op The photo op came after agents tear-gassed a Little Village street and were spotted in the area numerous times. At the Bean, one agent shouted, "Everyone say, 'Little Village!'"

This is depraved.

The different between the right and centrists is that the right gleefully kills millions of people and centrists present mass murder as a technical solution, like they added up all the numbers and carried a zero and oops, sorry, millions have to die.

Yes!! And for folks who feel like there is nothing near them to join and don’t have the ability to start their own thing,
there are orgs that have real online organizing programs. @workingfamilies.org has a great virtual program. I know there are others too. Especially in disability justice.

I keep seeing regular Americans taking more risks every day to fight tyranny, want, and cynicism than I see from the opposition party, and I imagine many of those regular Americans are asking themselves what the value proposition of such an opposition party is, really

This is literally treated as radical, outside-the-bounds of normal political discourse.

But Elon Musk gets $1,000,000,000,000.

Enough to by every unhoused person in America a $1.3 million home.

Enough to cover federal spending on school lunches for 57 years.

It really does seem like there's a decent chance that these senators screwed us because they don't want their personal Thanksgiving plans to be disrupted.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

I know many of us are tired, scared & angry. When you can, if you can, channel that into doing what you can to help. Every day it's more clear the only ones who are going to save us ... are us.

Whenever you start to say "people should do x," it's you. You're "people." We're "people." It's just us.
