Web dev & designer, of an age, drinking coffee, cuddling chihuahua and cat, into stories - books - films - tv - games -, Europe, kinda creative but sometimes lazy, not into bucket lists, no time for a new hobby (but always wanting to try something new).
I am celebrating already. I've got my sunglasses and everything.

For a Siamese, 10 years is still young! Or ... they always have this wise old man aura anyway.
Prince would look lovely on any floor, with the sunrays of spring warming him, while you try not to trip over him.
This cat is a keeper.
Mind you. I have brought home a surprise cat home before.
... I've already used up that card.
I think that's a great idea, in general. But. Surely there are people in the region that can take this lovely cat in.
I also would have to ask my cat if he'd like such a clever roommate. I think I could convince him. But the other human in the house probably would not want a second cat.
It's all about making miles! Just crochet a lot, wrong or right. You'll learn from mistakes! And you will treasure them π

I'd pick him up immediately if I wasn't in Europe.
Siamese cats are so smart. Good mousers, the ones I knew. Also, they're kind, but still cat enough not to respect you too much. You can hold conversations with them. They're dignified and calm.
His name is Prince. What more do you need?
I've just had a lot of time to learn the hard lessons, mike π
But tbh, it's really nice if you smile at people in your neighbourhood.
I've felt the sun on my face, warming me up. That spring scent and a gentle, warmer breeze.
Things are awful. And so out of my direct control.
But I can control how I greet people with a smile. So I do that.
You shouldn't have to convince anyone of how uniquely hard it is because it's actually obvious. I can't even advise because I am not in your position.
Don't give up finding time for yourself, too. Read Woolf's A Room of One's Own, for instance. You can't be on call 24/7.
It's better to just live your life.
People who think their life is content don't have anything meaningful to share.
Art gives back so much more. Return on investment, measured in happiness and humanity.

I actually think I've evolved past hating people based on the arbitrary place they were born.
But I do still judge people by their actions towards others.
I'm more scared of the word armageddon in this context. I don't even know if that biblical Jesus was ever really born.

You're at least high functioning. You can be outgoing and autistic. Or have a combination of autism and adhd.
It's okay if your brain just works different. But it's nice to know. And helpful.
I'm not sure how it is in the UK. In the Netherlands, the assessment is done by a psychologist. They do an intake, very pleasant, and after that, they go through a questionnaire in person. You can bring someone along for support. But also to verify answers. Sometimes you're not aware of stuff.
01.03.2026 20:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0There's a questionnaire, for yourself and parents. It's got nothing to do with being chatty. π

Have you been able to do an assessment with a professional? It can lead to more help. There are strategies you can adapt.
I wouldn't be surprised. If you've been masking, that's valuable experience to use those strategies so you won't have to mask.

Pep Guardiola didn't back down about the boos at Elland Road as play paused to allow Muslim players to break their fast for Ramadan.
βItβs a modern, modern world, right? You all [saw] what happened in the world again today, right? Respect the religions, respect the diversity, that is the point.β
Okay, I started the day quite gloomy. I'm sure you can relate.
But then someone announced their pregnancy and I can't help but smile. That's great news. It's wanted and I think it will be a wonderful family.
Gotta keep fighting for a better world, for this little one and all the others.
Additionally, or alternatively, buy your favourite book and gift it to someone.

I love lace. And that colour is ... so lovely!
I've only managed unintentional lace. Dropping stitches when I didn't need to...
I think your view might be more accurate βΉοΈ
But until everyone realises we've got more in common than what separates us, stuff like this will keep happening.
It does. Some people do end up deleting comments.
Doesn't bluesky have a comments option to use on blogs? Might be the solution you're happy with.
