i think generally its combat is very
bad but when it clicks its probably the only major shooter that has gunfights that feel genuinely uncomfortable. it has that fun heat quality too where combat is more about how much suppressing fire you can deliver while slowly retreating through an open area

red dead does this too where its clear a lot of the scriptwriting is them charting out a general idea of what commentary they want each questgiver to spout at you and in the design process they end up having to fill the dead air of like two cutscenes and a commute with repeats of the same convo
