That was a very satisfying uber-block.

That is extremely good to know. Now I just need to figure out how….

I find the β€œI’m an uber-lefty” strategy here to be so hilarious tho, it’s somehow fascinating to me.

The way the bots all follow the same standard tho is tiresome:

Apparently the current strategy is to just create starter packs credulous fools subscribe to, which…I mean…that’s a fascinating and great way of expanding your reach:

This is a bot account promoting a starter pack of other bot accounts.

This platform has some very serious problems.

There is a distinct whiff of β€œwhat have we done?” coming out of the c-suite.

I’ve been warning about computer costs for years, and it’s finally starting to sink in.

I think all this profligacy will look so silly 2-3 years from now.

β€œClose to the chest” is not another way of saying β€œpretending it exists.”

Comparing Waymo to Tesla’s fantasy AV technology isn’t just false equivalence, it’s malpractice.

Lol, good luck there. Organizational data quality is such a shitshow; at least with data lakes I can convince ppl to drop data into a swamp I can wade through for the good stuff.

But I doubt anyone high up an org chart will ever truly care, there’s just no incentive.

I wish I weren’t so down on ML research, but the marginal nature of everything today is just truly incomprehensible to me.

Resources should be expended on novel algorithm development, given we’re far too dependent on transformers. Far, far too dependent.

Large Language Models Require Curated Context for Reliable Political Fact-Checking -- Even with Reasoning and Web Search Large language models (LLMs) have raised hopes for automated end-to-end fact-checking, but prior studies report mixed results. Today in garbage LLM research, ladies and gentleman.

At no point do any of the authors ask β€œis this an appropriate use of LLMs?”

As always, ML research is a kaleidoscopic garden of perversions.

Materials costs are insane, the amount of concrete being poured on the new part of the Victorian we're renovating here in Whittier is costing a f*cking fortune. So. Much. Concrete.

I’m so sick of the β€œcheap Hardieboard slathered all over everything” look that seems to be everywhere.

Seattle and Minneapolis desperately need pattern handbooks like this where developers can adhere to preferred design patterns and get fast tracked development approval.

Couple this with limits on the amount of β€” sign β€” cheap Hardieboard, etc. allowed and you’d have more, and better, development.

As it should be! The UK, if it were to rejoin the EU, should be **prohibited** from leaving and joining the eurozone should be compulsory.

I suggest you log off Bluesky and maybe log into your Coinbase or Kalshi account and place some bets? Seems you're better off there than in my replies here.

I don't respond well to "debate me, bro" nonsense, and your dismissal of Zitron's well-researched reporting means we have nothing to talk about.

Byeeee.

Same, I would always buy the largest Macbook Pro possible and max out the specs, as I could just justify it as a business cost.

But, at least as someone whose work is solidly DS stuff, that just doesn't hold in 2025.

Inference costs are increasing, my friend. neoclouds are financial engineering, and will implode in the very near future.

Read Zitron's reporting on this.
