That is entirely not true and not the reason why they were striking. I recommend finding some YT videos on the situation because it's way more complicated than that and HoYo has nothing to do with it. There are a lot of people who were talking about it, so finding truth is not hard

Sadly majority of people who are not artists cant really see the pattern and shapes they see features, they recognize them and connect to what they know, its just kinda like that and probably can't be helped, I know they are not doing it out of bad intent but for us it will continue to be unpleasing

Ah, this happened to me a few times. I have military characters and a whole universe for them yet often they were compared to nazi and warhammer series -nothing about them even look alike, wow they wear uniform!
Let alone my sona who happened to have eyebrow fluff constantly gets compared to sergals

Indeed, indeeeeed. I did had a lot of plans to redesign a "VERY PARTICULAR ONE", and I still hope I'll do it one day

I often catch myself on a thought that the stories of my old characters were told and its time for them to just live their lives in the background of a bigger story, though I do still miss drawing them, they ARE there but not the way they used to be. Sometimes I miss the "good ol days"
