I thought my present WIP would be finished by November, but I cut it back from 75 to 4 thousand words.

I had a subplot and two extra characters that did nothing for the story.

Still hope for PWA because I know my characters so well, rewriting the same basic scenes is fairly easy.

Summer is over when the geese fly south and corn is harvested down to its nubs.

I bought an electric tea kettle that heats water to an exact temperature for my writing desk.

I listened to The Devotion Of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino and read by David Pittu.

The first couple of chapters were slow but needed. As the story went on it got better and better.

The optometrist makes you sit in a dark room and look through optically perfect dime sized lenses at a specific angle and distance.

The optician says, big, blue, oblong glasses look good on you.

And two weeks later, the patient says, I can’t see.

Yes. I’m bitter. 🤣

This is absolutely true.

We knew a patient’s spectacle order was on a plane in California, but we weren’t allowed to say your glasses haven’t cleared customs yet.

China is 12 hours ahead of the east coast, so having them made there and shipped in was a no brainer.

They would tell us to lie.

Naw.
