I haven't had a run since my very first one where im playing pure monoclasses (dark urge hex warlock, shart death cleric, karlach giant barb, minthara crown paladin) with the one tiny exception of minthara getting 1 (one) level in fighter for archery fighting style

True, with the hidden shar shrine bonus and spores together you could probably cheese the thorms even harder

as you might imagine, this goes a really long fucking way for your noncasters since a lot of mobs in act 2 are weak to radiant damage

here's a silly little minmax trick for act 2
when doing whatever it is you do in the creche zone, DO NOT solve the monastery weapons puzzle. long rest, go to act 2 proper, then go back and finish puzzle. your whole party will get free 1d4 radiant on all weapon attacks until the next long rest
