NEW: Michele Tafoya wasn't elected a GOP delegate or alternate in her home area today.

She didn't speak at her local convention, nor did she have someone speak on her behalf.

My take: Oof.

No, 30% of California is not homeless.

In fact, while unsheltered homelessness went up nationwide, California saw a 9% DECREASE last year — biggest drop in 15+ years!

I happened to see Michele Tafoya on Gutfeld! last evening. As she looked at her phone for talking points, she made the ridiculous claim that "almost 30 percent of Californians are homeless on any given night."

Current data estimates are that 0.48% of Californians are homeless.

She's making it difficult for the public to learn about her vast record of political commentary while she's running for public office.

This isn't a good look.

The link to Tafoya's Substack has been removed from her Substack profile. Her Substack feed contains dead links or removed posts, similar her X/Twitter accout.

NEW 🧵: GOP U.S. Senate candidate Michele Tafoya has deleted her entire Substack publication, "Michele Tafoya: Let's Get Sane," from public view. Tafoya had written anti-Trump posts, along with her takes on a variety of subjects. The mass deletion was done in the last few weeks.

As my redistricting counterpart in the 2000-2002 cycle, @mbrodkorb.bsky.social proposed just that. I agreed! But Marty Sabo and Betty McCollum didn't feel like duking it out in a primary.

I rarely discuss my faith, but I've been praying more recently. Minnesota is in turmoil, and this makes me think about my favorite verse:

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." - Matthew 5:9

I hope that the peacemakers speak loudly tomorrow.
