@delchi.bsky.social was SUCH a huge cDcNSF booster and organizer. He had a tough time of it, and it affected him a lot of ways, some of which were hard for him and others, but man he put in the work. He was particularly focused on disability access and awareness at hacker cons. RIP.

Spent the evening in San Antonio talking with Texans about the importance of running for a place on the ballot—from local offices to the State House. If we field a strong candidate for every office, we not only have a much stronger chance of flipping seats down ballot but also at winning statewide.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

CJ is an old friend and a longtime cDc NSF member. He suffered a fall and broke his neck -- his insurance refused to pay for an MRI, which led to the break going undiagnosed for a couple of weeks, until his vertebrae had degraded to the point of quadriplegia.
