What if the news media agreed to stop calling these Ivy League deals “settlements” and just said, you know, “Cornell has agreed to pay $100 million in extortion money.”

The government might as well ban people writing letters to one another because this is the police state we have become.

Universities not governments are best placed to regulate themselves.

No surprises there from Holloway. What does Britain need 'rescuing' from exactly?
Don't tell me let me guess...
Blinne Ní Ghrálaigh KC, representing Palestine Action, says the ban is causing "irreparable harm", adding:
"It should not fall on members of the public to bear the brunt of measures that are extraordinarily broad and are for the very first time directly and intentionally to a protest movement"
Palestine Action have won their bid for a full legal challenge against the British government's decision to ban it as a terrorist group
The High Court ruled that an internal Home Office process was "not suitable", partly because "many people now subject to criminal proceedings" linked to the ban
A really compelling if inevitably disturbing article by Adam Tooze on de Waal's account of planned starvation as a form of genocide. And why other famines around the world are not comparable to what is happening in Gaza right now.

An important article by Maurice Stierl reflecting on how a decade of dehumanising refugees has left the far right surging in support while its violent and racist border policies are anxiously copied by the likes of Macron and Starmer.

The main culprit? Foreign Secretary David Lammy who cries crocodile tears for Gaza.
UK Government: The whole of Europe is safe to return asylum seekers to. There is no reason for people seeking sanctuary to come to the UK in small boats or by any other means.

The UK is threatening to do what it should have done back in 1948 by recognising Palestine
"Unless the Israeli government takes substantive steps to end the appalling situation in Gaza"
So if the IDF drops a few more pallets of "food aid" then ISR can carry on with the illegal occupation?
"stop starving palestinians or we will let them have a state but if you stop brutalizing them *for now* you can keep brutalizing them for many years to come" is the official position of the uk government

The IDF using blackmail to impose a global media black out on their war crimes and the escalating genocide. A reminder that Gaza is illegally occupied Palestinian land over which Israel has no lawful sovereignty.
