So after days of Republicans blaming and vilifying Democrats and trans people for Kirk’s murder despite having no clue who the person was, we find out it’s a white guy from a Republican family in Utah who loved guns.

A truly incompetent take. What does that even mean? He will force the country to allow trans women in women’s sports? He will force the country to be a bastion of LGBT+ rights?

Let’s role play and agree that yes it is all performative. If CA continues to be at the forefront of LGBT+ issues and remains a safe haven. If CA votes to move forward with redistricting in Nov - how is it “performative” when there are tangible results that help the cause?

More votes from people who vote in the election? On the basis of combating the last 25 years of Republican disinformation and the last 5 years of an extreme push to eradicate the trans community.

The last 2 days has been an ongoing conversation that Newsom stating the sports issue is “unfair” - while acknowledging the states laws allow for it - has been enough for folks to say if it’s Newsom v Vance in ‘28 they won’t vote. So I’m not really clear on what you’re trying to say.

Which AGAIN is why education and research are so important. And is AGAIN why we bring up that there is ONLY ONE party who is actively dismantling both. So this high horse of “all of my political needs must be met for me to support the candidate” is absolutely nonsensical, out of touch & dangerous.

Yeah I agree. But unfortunately there is a significant number of people - in the millions - that think it’s unfair. So when it becomes a “hot topic” there really isn’t a formal rule/law in place to address it.

For sure - but participation in sports that are specifically broken out into Men’s and Women’s leagues is a more complex and nuanced subject than you feel it is. I’m in support of it, but can understand why some think it’s unfair and not automatically think they are transphobic because of it.

You are exaggerating and over-simplifying a complex and nuanced issue. As stated multiple times, I have no problem with trans women in women’s sports. We have bigger issues to deal with than fucking sports you complete walnut.

That’s the point. Let’s maybe restore USAID and civil rights first?
