One of the bigger creatures the Gargellians have to deal with is the megafauna, known as Wanderers, Stompers, or just "big beasts". They are so large that the whole planet is their domain, so rangers are usually deployed to safely deter them away from crushing their crops or cities. 👽🪶 #Gargellians

i dont think it would be deadly, but definitely a big deterrent xP humans dont usually die from like, touching poison ivy, but it does have a big effect

wearing protective gear is probably necessary for long term interactions, and gargs have multiple ways to make co-habitation viable 👽🪶😄

Gargellians are a dominant sentient species, but technically they're an evolved prey species. They're extremely well adapted to ward away most if not all other potential threats. Additionally, they're incredibly physically resilient, making normally deadly creatures a nuisance at best.

Gargellian patterns are a sensitivity map; helpful to know where to tickle one another when the need for a predator-deterring flood of oil suddenly arises. Because dark spots are the oiliest, they also CAUSE the most tickling. Dark hands and tails are often viewed as "ler" traits, with dark feet and torsos seen as "lee" traits. (Roles aren't rigid in practice, though)

Gargellian skin oil causes intense tickling. Each individual's oil has a distinct sensation, like a tactile "voice". One may feel like a teasing feather, another like a jet of bubbles, and so on. The mode of action also varies by way of three traditional groups; "Slow" oils ramp up and cool down in intensity slowly. "Deep" oils tickle hard and fast, dissipating quickly. "Late" oils only activate after some time has passed.

Gargellians have a human-like body shape, with any body type. Typically soft features with low muscle definition, even on the athletic types. There are two "morphs" of Gargellian. They're the same species though, so blended features are common. (Lee Morph) -Teardrop head. -3 fingers and 2 toes, with rounded tips. -Smooth tail fur. (Ler Morph) -Flat head. -4 fingers and 3 toes, with pointed tips. -Coarse tail fur.

The planet Knismet is home to the Gargellians, a species with a penchant for tickling due to their infamous skin oil. Errant tickling is expected among their own kind. But off-planet, most Gargellians wear full covering from the neck down to avoid spreading the oil around. (Three Gargellians are shown in front of an image of an earth-like planet. The orange one called Yoe, The green one called Hye, and the blue one called Cee.) Individuals possess one of three oil types. (Yoe, Cee, and Hye are shown demonstrating the oil types on a generic figure) Type A (Slow Oil) builds in intensity the longer it remains on the skin. Type B (Deep Oil) is at it's strongest instantly, gradually losing potency. Type C (Late Oil) does not activate until some time after contact is broken. (Yoe, Cee, and Hye are shown being tickled by a bunch of translucent pink vacuum brushes attached to multiple tubes that lead to a single large jug, containing their collected oils.) Gargellians produce more oil when they themselves are tickled. Darker areas are more sensitive, and thus produce more oil. If the oil is not scrubbed or scraped off periodically, the slime-like buildup can prove problematic, especially off-planet. Aside from simple removal, oil can also be harvested with special vacuum brushes. As most Gargellians enjoy being tickled, there's no shortage of volunteers for oil harvesting. Donated oil is used to produce Knismet's most famous export: Gargal Liquid. Gargal Liquid is a blend of all 3 types of oil. It starts strong, gets stronger, and lingers for a long while. Each batch of Gargal stimulates the nerves differently, so no two bottles have exactly the same "texture". On the galactic stage, Gargal can be uniquely marketed as a prank, a kink, or even a weapon. It can also be infused into many other substances to create a variety of implements for tickling. The "tickle tank", for instance, combines Gargal with a breathable liquid.
