Just got my 4K in today as well. So excited.

30 years ago today WATERWORLD was released in theaters, producing the true definition of blockbuster excess in its post-apocalyptic ocean adventure thats aged incredibly in the decades since. For a film thats notorious for going over budget every dollar is on the screen from the sets to the stunts.

This new @arrowvideo.bsky.social 4K of Cobra is a stunner. Love that it includes the TV cut of the film, which are always fun to watch.

Plus a new essay by @priscillapage.bsky.social.

This will be a full blind buy for me, but really happy to see these getting restored and released.

I haven't. I live in Peabody and mostly stick to the North Shore or southern NH. We have a B&N in Peabody itself, but it hasn't carried movie in over a decade now.

I had no idea the Burlington, MA one had this much of a selection these days. I last went to that store maybe 5 years ago and there wasn't really anything. If i go to one looking for movies, I usually go up to Nashua or Portsmouth, NH.

Ah okay. I was reading through the recent Rolling Stone top one-hot wonders of the 2000s list and they went by Top 20, so i figured that was what the industry went by. I always said Top 40 since it's generally referred to as "Top 40 radio", but sometimes that felt too broad.

To Billboard a "hit" has to reach the Top 20 on the Hot 100. So those wouldn't be considered hits.
