An Ironman athlete, told she'd never walk again after an accident more than six years ago, is now part of an early clinical trial, in which skull and spine implants help patients move paralyzed limbs.

Last week I spent few days at Reggie Edgerton’s lab learning more about #neuromodulation such a great, inspiring and educational conversations 🧠🤩 I learned a lot and am very excited to start to work on new studies!

I had the priviledge to visit LA Children’s gait lab and learn about their protocols and systems. Best part of it was to notice that our movement analysis lab in Helsinki is very well equipped on international standards, still happy to have some new ideas on how to develop our #gaitanalysis

In my doctoral research 🤓 I study Paired Assiciative Stimulation, a neuromodulation method that combines cortical 🧠 and peripheral 💪🏻🦵🏼stimulation and aims to improve plasticity in corticospinal networks. Method is used for spinal cord injury rehabilitation
