Decidueye completely strays from the preppy themes from before and gets edgy as hell.

Samurott does the unthinkable and becomes quadruped.

Chikorita line is kinda bland overall.

Cute design on baby form + mid form that has a goofy teen vibe + cool design on final form that matures the concepts brought by the mid form.

For me, good examples: Quaxly, Popplio, Snivy, Cyndaquil and the Kanto Starters lines. Bad examples: Litten, Rowlet, Oshawott and Chikorita lines.
