We don't need nuclear power - the path to cheaper electricity is renewables The last thing Australia energy market needs is nuclear power. The data is clear - more renewables will lead to cheaper electricity.

Saying it again. Nuclear is the most expensive form of energy we could have. Those pushing the conversation on it, are using it to distract from the rollout of the cheapest, cleanest energy form: renewables. #auspol

There is no such thing as a safe seat.

Demand politicians earn your vote.

Don't accept mediocrity.

Excuses about "costs" or "need to bring the public with us" are lies.

Governments have power, and budgets are about choices & priorities.

If it's a priority, it is always affordable.

Gas giant Santos fined $10,000 for 25,000-litre oil spill off Pilbara coast The energy giant has pleaded guilty to causing an oil spill in 2022, that leaked 25,000 litres of oil off WA's north-west coast. Santos will pay a $10,000 fine and $9,700 in court costs for failing to...

Accused by a whistleblower of covering up an oil spill that killed dolphins and sea snakes, Santos get fined just $10k 🀯

Santos spends up to $US3.3m per year on a private jet for their executives so I don’t think AUD10k is going to hurt them.

Every journalist working the summer has to scrap around for content. But running the same faux outrage story three years in a row seems ridiculous even for the Daily Mail

The only policy the Coalition has with any clear detail and commitment is that Peter Dutton wouldn’t stand in front of Indigenous flags.

A joke of a party.

Do the folks who want to tear up bike lanes not understand that if the cyclists are not in the bike lanes they are in the lanes with the cars? In most cases in their own cars? Which means they are now (noisy, polluting) traffic? More car lanes just means more cars.

Advisors told Ljubljana’s mayor that pedestrianizing downtown would be political suicide. Eighteen years later, he’s still mayor.

This Vienna street isn’t β€œclosed” because cars have been removed. It has successfully been β€œopened” to everything else, to a diverse and invigorated civic life, because cars have been replaced by a multitude of wonderful things.

Language matters.

Funny that Tony Abbott hasn't made a comment about Alan Jones yet. It's not like Tony's shy. In the past few months the media have happily reported his views on:
- climate change
- wokeness
- Trump
- Gaza / Israel
- Rudd
- Qantas
- Oz history
- migration
- Islam
- AUKUS
- a republic
- Covid

Cartoon of additional car lane just leading to the same congestion with more cars stuck in it.

If you’re REALLY trying to β€œsolve” traffic congestion, then road widenings and more car lanes are expensive exercises in futility β€” unless of course your REAL goal is even more people driving more often and longer in the same or worse congestion, fuelled by a lot more suburban sprawl. #induceddemand
