We Are Looking For A passionate and experienced Manager - Magic Judge Program to lead the strategic development and execution of the Magic: The Gathering Judge Program. In this role, you will ensure judges are empowered, supported, and equipped to maintain integrity, consistency, and high-quality player experiences across all levels of play. As a member of the play team, you will collaborate closely with teams including events, communications, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to cultivate a professional and diverse judge community that supports in-store, regional, and premier-level events.

What You'll Do Build, own and evolve the vision, structure, and execution of the Magic: The Gathering Judge Program globally. Develop certification pathways, advancement criteria, and continuing education tools for judges at all experience levels. Work with internal team members and third-party organizations to ensure operational excellence in judge deployment and performance at events. Establish and maintain a code of conduct, disciplinary procedures, and support systems to ensure a respectful and safe judging environment. Build scalable systems for judge recruitment, training, recognition, and retention. Advocate for program requirements in cross-functional meetings and long-term planning. Act as a liaison between Wizards and the global judge community, providing regular communication and support. Monitor program metrics and feedback to continuously refine and improve outcomes.

What You'll Bring 5+ years of experience in event operations, program management, or community leadership—preferably in a gaming, esports, or tabletop environment. Deep knowledge of Magic: The Gathering play events, rules enforcement, and tournament structures. Strong understanding of Magic’s organized play ecosystem and the role judges play in maintaining event integrity as well as player experience and satisfaction. Proven ability to build systems and programs that scale globally. Outstanding communication, conflict resolution, and collaborator management skills. I made a lil pico-8 game! It's a short precision platformer, inspired by a Celeste mod I made last year. It was a lot of fun to make, and I hope people enjoy it!

as someone who answered 10/10/11, with these revised stats i would answer 8/8/10 lol. 5/4 is just so drastically different than 4/6.

(to elaborate: the existence of a 2 mana 4/6 would completely invalidate any deck that is trying to engage in combat on the ground, while having the extremely questionable design quality of board stalling mirrors. you do not want this in your standard format)

okay i might be misinterpreting the meaning of 10.

but basically my logic is, if these existed in a standard format i would almost certainly advocate for a ban, not necessarily for power level reasons (except the last one), but because they have extremely negative impacts on limiting a format

2 mana 4/6: 10
3 mana 8/12: 10, but a little less than the first one
3 mana two 4/6s: 11, what the fuck

oh yeah i pressed send before thinking and would've pressed sens after thinking too

today i typed the words "before edge releases" and then thought about what i typed

but interestingly i have been noticing that, despite still having 0 non-demi physical or aesthetic attraction to anyone, i do somewhat *notice* feminine bodies more. idk what to make of this, i kinda suspect it's related to hanging out a lot in lesbian spaces and seeing lots of lesbian art lol

as someone who is quite far down the ace spectrum in a way that includes not understanding physical or aesthetic attraction (well, maybe a little bit of physical attraction in exclusively demi ways), i mostly don't understand how other people have this experience for *anyone*

The BGA implementation is pretty good yeah

(i've decided my break is mostly "don't think too hard about competitive formats")

well mostly my way of being "built different" here is that i think my sleep cycle is naturally like ~25 hours or something, so every day my natural sleep time drifts further and further back. yesterday i slept from like 8 am to 5 pm lol
