Companies don’t have pride in their products anymore. They make junk. They sell junk. They expect us to just buy it and buy more.

At what point are we going to realize we can’t keep on like this. The pollution is a problem. These appliances are not recyclable. Nothing is made well. Most of the clothing is junk. I’m not happy with most of the things I buy anymore anyways including things I need like sneakers or hats & gloves.

The planned obsolescence is off the charts with appliances. My washer & dryer are old. The dryer is on the fritz. I dread buying new ones. They don’t last and are not fixable.
My first house came with a washer. It was 47 years old when it rusted through the drum. Now it’s lucky if they last 8 years.

I haven’t seen it but I try to be conscious of my purchases. I ask myself - What do I need? Where will it go? What will happen to it in the end?
