Sednaya prison is a horror.

Thousands of people in a stream of bodies walked toward the most infamous prison under the Assad regime. Every single person I interviewed, bar one, had at least one family member inside.

Many had no news of family they’d last seen over a decade ago.

Scholz, Macron on Monday said they are open to working with #Syria's new leaders after Assad's ouster.

"Both agreed they were ready to cooperate with the new leadership on the basis of fundamental human rights and the protection of ethnic and religious minorities," Berlin said.
