it's genuinely better to just use "Non-binary" "Transgender" "Intersex" as possible terms because they're not given the immediate connotation to pornographic terms. :)

"F*ta" as a term is offensive when applying it to people as it's a term that originated from Japanese pornography, which fetishizes a body type in a way that is reductive to a person's autonomy, agency, and sense of self.

Basically, it's just the new age term for "Sh*m*le", which is gross.

It's sadly just the issue of common vernacular being used.

They got picked via internet cultural exchange due to the term being japanese and the internet being full of people obsessed with a culture but not understanding it.

Ignorance just lead to it being used everywhere, and it's annoying.

Fetishizing a person is dehumanizing them.

Ergo, much like slurs, it strips autonomy and decency from them.
