I grew up loving tech and the internet, but as I get older and see what has come of it, I'm starting to want to become a luddite and get away from it all.

The amount of people who are pushing back against data centers in big and small towns alike is one of the most encouraging things about the current political situation.

Just turned on the NBC's Olympic Gold Zone channel and there's a triple box of doubles curling going on. If there's one thing that is possibly more exciting than curling it's a triple box of curling.

RAISE transit sent the city a letter begging them to address pedestrian walkway enforcement and to train plow drivers not to dump snow at metro stops. The city chose not to respond to RAISE, do any outreach, or update their snow removal plan to include those outside of cars. So disappointing.

Seeing so many businesses announce today that they are donating profits to organizations supporting immigrants' rights makes me think we made being woke cool again!

Not sure when I first heard "The people of <oil rich country> are dancing in the street thanking the US for getting rid of its leader," but I've heard it enough in my 43 years that I am immediately skeptical of it but apparently many Americans will fall for it every time without a thought.

As someone who, since Trump 2.0, has intentionally avoided the national news headlines for my own sanity, can someone give me the basic TLDR of the Minneapolis daycare scandal I keep seeing so much about? I assume it's racist in nature but that's about all I know.

2025 was a bad year that I'll never forget because I lost my dad in February and nothing has been the same since. 😥💔

But it made me take my health more seriously and since May I lost 45lbs, significantly cut back on drinking, and started running a lot and am training for a half marathon now. 🏃‍♂️💨

And this happens all the time across my life and nobody else seems to think anything of it. I don't get why everyone thinks they need to repeat stuff to me all the time?!

My pet peeve is when people tell me the same thing over and over again. Like, I know, you've told me this many times already, I completely understand, I understood the first time you told me, why are you repeating this to me? Do you expect me to say something different in response this time?
