- Remaining cartridge worked
- Find out I need a new colour ink cartridge.
Along these lines:
- HP printer needs ink.
- Buy wrong ink cartridge for printer.
- Actual ink cartridge can’t be found.
- Risked 3rd party ink cartridge.
- Got 2 cartridges in box,
- take out of box, 1 has exploded
- Get ink all over my hands
- Discover a set of disposable gloves at bottom of box
So the FB algorithm gives me a video on Super Mario Brothers 2 and a secret door in it. That’s not unusual in and of itself, but the person giving the tip? JJ McCullogh, of “How is this guy the Canadian commentator on WaPo’s website?” fame.

1. Readouts are good, in a general sense, for letting us know a) when the prime minister has spoken to another leader and b) what they talked about (or what they're willing to tell us about what they talked about).
2. I'm not sure how a readout would "clarify" anything in this case.
I think at this point folks should judge the result of negotiations & the relative positions of the two countries economically & in the world.
I think it's weird to call the PM out daily on a process that clearly wasn't going to happen fast/well, & is with an entirely untrustworthy trade partner.
If Canadians, travelling domestically, want to use the "good" security line at the airport, they need a NEXUS card, even if they aren't going to the US. And they need the blessing of Donald Trump's Homeland Security apparatus to get one. I'm calling on Canada to end this absurdity. #Canada #NEXUS

I cannot tell you how absolutely infuriatingly this stuff comes across to Europeans.
When we say America is no longer a reliable ally, it goes considerably deeper than Donald Trump himself. This kind of complacent, condescending shit is a *huge* part of it.
National media should really be covering the fact thay every major school, museum, and arts institution in the Twin Cities, and hundreds of local businesses are closed tomorrow to protest federal occupation.
Nothing like this at this scale has happened anywhere in America anytime in living memory.
lol isn’t a member of that coaching staff one of the lead candidates for the HC job?

Deep down America's allies know that only Americans can put a stop to the madness.
The fact that they can't or won't is why the damage to our partnerships will last far beyond this President.
Worth noting. bsky.app/profile/shif...

Was he asked to?
It’s one thing if he made the decision not to sign; we can judge him based on whatever he chooses to do. But if he wasn’t given the choice, then we can’t fault him for not signing. We can ask other questions about why he wasn’t involved though.
For Venezuela, you don’t have an easy story like you did with Epstein. The military actions taken have not yet meant a continued US presence in Venezuela over and above whatever is currently there. When that happens, you have your wedge that can put pressure on Republicans.

The problem with the Epstein example is that it was already an issue that was driving a significant portion of Trump supporters AND the right wing influencers that support him as well.
It was easy to put pressure on when it was a clear cut story to be told.
