One of Iranian cinema’s most influential and important filmmakers, Bahram Beyzaie (1938–2025) passed away on Dec. 26. His works are “seamless blends of myth, symbolism, folklore, and classical Persian literature” (The Guardian: bit.ly/3YrT969).
