Interested in #Genealogy and assorted other things ... I have been researching #FamilyHistory since the early 1990's and incorporating #DNA evidence since 2013. In 2024, I started working on a #OnePlaceStudy.

I agree. It's looking good and I like the way @crgalvin.bsky.social has pinned an index at the top.

@projectkin.bsky.social Each gen of signatures from my 2x great grandma, Anne Williams (signed as Mrs. Tom Davies), to my 12x grampie, David Evans of Pantcoy. The fact my 9x grandma could write her name in 1711 is so fascinating to me. Like where did she go to school??? #Genealogy

Rather chuffed to have my article published in The New Zealand Genealogist magazine December issue. The theme was "Where did they live?" #genealogy #familyhistory #archives #nz #genhour #oneplacestudies

I posted it on 19 October 2025 (around the same time as the Kapiti course). First PO couldn't send anything to US at all and told me of the 2 in Wellington on a different system that could. I may have been fortunate to go to two PO's with knowledgeable helpful people!-?

I recently sent an MtDNA kit to USA from NZ. The first PO I went to couldn't send to US but told me which ones in Wellington can so I went to one of those. The person there advised me to send Economy. It cost me $4.70 and took 11 days to get there. She advised not to send Express.

It's always exciting to find something drawn or written in an ancestor's own hand, isn't it #GenHour (belated!)

I have only just caught up with this because I was on a plane on the way to Melbourne during #GenHour today. Yes, I agree with @projectkin.bsky.social, the page Projectkin.org/stories250 is certainly worth checking out #Stories250

As America, our 250th has had me thinking about better highlighting the extraordinary array of posts added to the Projectkin’s #Stories250 effort.

Why not roll all posts and talk recordings into a new page: Projectkin.org/stories250

Hello #GenHour I DNA tested autosomal way back in 2013 but put off any other type of testing until now. Just got an email (opened 2 minutes ago) from FTDNA to say my mtDNA results are in. So ... Don't think I will get much else done today! 🧬 #Genealogy #GeneticGenealogy

Hello #GenHour I am not sure where the past week disappeared to πŸ™ƒ. I have been trying to tidy up some of the profiles in my family history archive on theweare.xyz platform (entailing further research a bit of rewriting) but have had lots of interruptions.
