“What?” Miklan blinks a few times. “Armageddon, the Corrupted,” the merchant says again, this time softer. He turns around and takes the lance from its display, the handle glowing a sinister red. He spins back around and shows it off. “If you wanna terrify your foes on the battlefield, then this is exactly what you need!” Miklan rolls his eyes. ‘Typical marketing tactic.’ “Armageddon was crafted a very long time ago, and it’s said to have a powerful effect on demonic beasts,” the young man continues, showing off the weapon’s piercing spears. Upon closer inspection, the weapon… seems to resemble the Lance of Ruin. Miklan bites the bottom of his lip. This can’t be it. Maybe it’s a coincidence. There is no way there could be a second Lance of Ruin, there is only one— The merchant continues, disrupting Miklan’s thoughts. “People seem to end up going crazy or dying or killing each other upon obtaining this lance, and it always comes back to me. So I’m givin’ it out for free if ya wanna try it?” Miklan only half-listens, caring more about the appearance of the weapon — relic? — than its history. Who cares if people kill one another over this thing? Miklan admires the way it glows dangerously red. It’s almost like the lance is threatening Miklan to take hold of it. Calling him. The rain continues pouring down, every market stall closing up, patrons hurrying in search of shelter. But not Miklan. Despite the burning on his skin, he’s infatuated by Armageddon. He hesitates, especially when the merchant hands it over to him. When he wraps his hand around the base of the weapon, Miklan can feel his blood rushing, his mind going blank. The merchant opens his mouth to say something, but everything he says is incoherent. Miklan holds the lance tighter in his grasp. Something compels him to give it a try. To strike. He hears a scream.

stampede wolfwood sandwiched between max vash and stampede vash. max vash’s back is turned to the viewer, kissing wolfwood who’s bent over in front of him. he has his legs spread casually, his right arm resting against himself, the “schlick schlick” text implying he’s pleasuring himself. his left hand comes up to wolfwood’s arm, thumb rubbing wolfwood’s elbow like a comforting gesture. wolfwood has his arms wrapped around max vash’s shoulder, eyes rolled back, flushed, and tongue out for max vash to kiss. stampede vash is fucking him from behind, hand gripped against his waist, and also leans down to kiss wolfwood’s upper back. “chu chu” texts comes from both vash’s while a simple sketchy heart draws from wolfwood.

When he reaches the counter he purchases everything, smiling warmly as the cashier compliments his choice in clothing, mentioning how the brand Vash picked is usually very high-end, but Vash managed to snag it for dirt cheap. It brightens his day knowing that the people in this small, no-named town won’t judge you for what you decide to buy or wear. So it’s certainly not odd for a man to leave a fragrance store wearing the most lovely scented fruit flavoured perfume. Vash collects his receipts and shopping bags, leaving the small clothing store before he makes his way towards his motel, where he shares a room with Wolfwood who’s likely taken Angelina out for a ride somewhere not too distant from here. He navigates up the stairs and reaches his motel room, opening the door with his key card. The motel isn’t dirty or dingy like most, in fact it’s very clean compared to most other places he and Wolfwood have rested their heads at. Setting the bags down, Vash dumps out everything onto his bed and sorts through every one of his purchases. He doesn’t have a lot of time to change into everything, but it’s not like Wolfwood is around the corner. Vash hums to himself as he slips out of his favourite red jacket, soon discarding it into a random corner of the room. He reaches for one of his new lacy bras, admiring not just the colour but the fabric, the way it’s designed. He runs a thumb along the inner padding of the bra, smiling to himself. Something about wearing feminine clothing, whether it’s simply a lacy bra to wear in private or even if he struts around gunslinging while in a nice sundress, makes Vash feel even more euphoric than usual. Usually he doesn’t mind what clothes he wears so long as they’re clean, but today is a relatively peaceful day — no bandits, no bounty hunters — so Vash figured that shopping and spoiling himself would be a nice way to treat himself for all of his hard work. And maybe Wolfwood would be into it, too.
