I don’t think that was the same night we had nothing to do with Raw after the single - when I’m back need to look at my diary from then to see - our bassist Hugh was spat on at that gig not sure it was approval, I was glad I’d played on same stage as MC5 and Syd Barrett

It’s a 330ml measure so just under 100ml of foam, lot more foam over here, I love it but then it’s a different dispense, another example from my travels over the last week - don’t fear the foam

1990 was working for mag based in RAK studios(publisher was a mate of Mickie Most) one Monday lunchtime I was in the pub having a pint (as we did in those days) and my editor came in and said SM was absolutely out of it in the studio, not on booze but scag, saw many bands at CC, played there as well

Saw them at a press event on HMS Belfast to launch Rum, Sodomy and the Lash in 85, rumour had it that one music writer fell in the Thames he was so inebriated - interviewed them a couple of times back then, first time when they were Pogue Mahone, great band but yes like you no more New York thanks

I know what you mean but it’s hard for them at the moment so whatever sells they do but I focused on the good ones (btw sitting in Kater Murr at moment thanks to your website)

I know what you are saying but I wanted to focus on the good ones - the thing is many breweries need a lager now

Very good point it’s a common thing, I suspect it’s misanthropes who live with their mum who’s dead in the attic , I’ve been asked to reply to comments and I’ll be very polite!

10 of the best British lagers to try (now that we’re finally brewing it better) The era of bland, gassy pints is long gone. Across Britain, meticulous brewers are reviving lager with care, craft and real character

Keep on lagering on, my piece in the DT includes the likes of @teamutopian.bsky.social @lostandgrounded.bsky.social and @pillarsbrewery.bsky.social i think this is not the paywalled bersion www.telegraph.co.uk/food-and-dri...

When I researched A Pub for All Seasons I went to the Globe, the Roscoe and the Lion and loved them all but I bet the others will have recommends - dunno about food as it gets in the way of beer
