I completely disagree. There aren't enough Democrats to rely solely on them to get elected in Texas. Talarico might be able to peel off Christian voters who are uncomfortable with the anti-Christian actions of the so-called Christians in power.

But he’s 100% against Christian Nationalism and strongly supports the separation of Church and State. His religion is what forms the basis of his progressive politics. I bristle at religion, as well, but he isn't someone I fear along those lines.
