One year ago yesterday @juanandonly1.bsky.social walked off a plane into a new life. He met many caring friends and (political) family. We hosted a surprise party (and this morning) to remind him he will never be alone in his new home. Adjusting hasn’t always been easy, but it created beauty.

Date night! I surprised @juanandonly1.bsky.social with dinner at Toro y Pampa in Middleton WI, a new Argentine restaurant specializing in common fare (amazing!). Following we drove back to watch the Rockford Symphony Orchestra play at the Coronado Theater in Rockford. A magical night!
