An 18-year-old SNP candidate has won a key by-election, signaling a crucial moment for the future of Stirling Council

Labour promised cheaper energy bills, but instead, they are £150 higher than this time last year.

People will go into this winter struggling to heat their homes. In an energy-rich country, that is unacceptable.

Westminster won’t fix this – but with independence, Scotland can.

From next Monday, your rail commute will be cheaper.

We’re scrapping peak rail fares in Scotland for good.

Under the SNP, public ownership of rail means fairer prices – making travel cheaper, greener and easier for everyone.

With next year’s election upcoming, it’s important we engage with members and put independence at the front.

Labour are increasing your energy bills, after promising to cut them - to pay for a nuclear plant in England.

I spoke to @scotnational.bsky.social about Scotland's fairer approach to social security, my frustration over the inadequacies of the Union & how we could do so much more with the full powers of independence.

We will not cut Scotland's Adult Disability Payment.

The UK Government reforms have yet to be passed at Westminster, so there is still time for them to step back and I would strongly urge them to scrap their harmful proposals.

Child poverty has fallen in Scotland - whilst rising sharply in the UK.

Absolute child poverty in Scotland fell from 23% to 17% - the lowest figure in 30 years.

Too many commentators/media reports still accepting UKG line that cuts to PIP are about helping people back to work. PIP is a recognition of the additional costs of a disability/long term condition. It is NOT related to being in or out of work.
