I mean, if someone claimed that he bought it, and the person looked it up, I wouldn’t call verifying all that stupid. It’s not like Jack never sold a platform before. 😛

Funny thing is I hadn’t even seen that you’d shared a list like that. In any case, you didn’t quote repost it with some of the awful words I’ve seen others use. I personally ended up blocking the curator instead after seeing some of the people they’d put in there. 😂

It’s why I specifically mentioned polarization. It’s not really about the blocking itself, it’s about pitting people against each other.

Well yeah. And I’m basically doing the same thing with people who are very loud and angry about demonizing people publicly without checking their whole character. I don’t care what keywords they mass block from their feed quietly.

There’s also a difference between doing so quietly for your own peace of mind, and publicly announcing that everyone on a certain list someone else curated is an absolute monster, without checking. The latter is more what I’m talking about.

I know you well. I know your intentions in doing so with the lists, but I don’t know everyone here that well. So I do need to consider their possible reasons at times.

I’m just saying that if I say the wrong word one day to voice an opinion, I might accidentally end up on one of those lists, just like a parody account I just spotted on there.

Absolutely. That goes outward too though. When I see people blindly blocking whole lists of people curated by other people without looking at who’s in there, that does make my gears turn about the people doing that as well.
