I just want this part of me back for a little while, even knowing i’ll lose everything again.

I worry I’ll never make art I’m proud of again, that I’ll never make as much as I want to, that I _need_ to, as the backlog of unfinished work is still there. Something I used to love and thrived at and found success at and felt like maybe I’d be great at it one day, it’s just anguish now. It hurts.

I worry daily about Michelle, the thought of losing her, her losing me, the finite number of times I can say I love her. I worry about my art, how it gets harder & harder to make it, how I’m now almost incapable of producing any work I’m happy with, work that’s good enough to me. It’s debilitating.

One of the worst parts of having heart failure is how much of your life you spend worrying about the looming inevitability of death to the point you wonder if you’re even able to make good use of the time you have here. How little time you even have left. It’s been… eating at me a lot lately.
