Reading the 40K novel, Avenging Son, and I absolutely hate Commodore Eloise Athagey. I don't know, maybe I'm supposed to dislike her, but her portions of the book, naval warfare, are rough and boring. Navy actions bore me as a general rule, but these are sooo dull!

Just finished Genefather, a good story with a slight pacing issue. Possible reference to Men of Iron or maybe Chaos Androids, it's hard to say really. Cawl, Bile, Primus and Qvo all make for great characters, as expected, but I had hope for more from the Bile/Cawl interactions.
7/10, should read.
