The "best" part is that this evidently has some profit angle (tax payer funded, presumably).

Added note: For people who think life was better back then, remember that this show was about a guy who had to pretend to be gay so the landlord wouldn't kick all of them out for cohabitating.

In 1977.

This show was wildly popular and ran until 1984.

Comic: A donkey in a rumpled shirt and glasses peers at a clipboard as he talks to a man in a MAGA hat.

Donkey: "Let's say we were to reduce the proposed spending for this bill by 15%. Hypothetically, could that be enough to earn your vote?"

MAGA: "I literally believe you rape babies to death and drink their blood to live forever"

Donkey: "I see. So...how about 20%"

Regarding the capitulation, not surprised at all. Healthcare premium increases look baked in now as open season begins. Therefore, why hold out further and let SNAP benefits continue to go undispersed, let federal workers stay on the hook, and let flights be further f--ed for thanksgiving.

As always, Scott Bessent is looking out for the banking zombies. This would be a titanic capital injection to Wall Street before anything else it does on healthcare.

General elections tomorrow in Iraq. Baghdad is looking normal, we went to work. The streets are crowded with people and vehicles. I've already made up my mind regarding for whom to vote. Hoping for an post-sectaarian Iraq where fundamentalists/extremists don't hold positions of power.

When you look at the red states, their tax systems drastically favor the rich over regular people.

Republicans want to steal your money and give it to rich people who do not contribute to society.

Right-wing tax policy is the biggest scam in history.

Earlier today, a mob of Israeli Jewish settlers attacked and assaulted roughly 30 Palestinian villagers and activists, plus about 10 journalists who had gathered during an attempt to harvest olives near a settler outpost in the Israeli-occupied West Bank
