As a former Texas Legislator, I can assure you, these paychecks are of little consequence.

Why isn’t this enough for Republicans?

I grew up in a Gold Star Family, raised by a father who was a Silver Star hero in WWII. Every single one of the heroes in my family would be devastated over what our governments are perpetrating in American streets. Don’t hide from this…rise up, speak out…vote them out!

Truth telling right here. Add to this, we have the most unserious government in the history of America (and Texas). We must recruit the best candidates at every level and support them to the winner’s circle with $s and grassroots campaigning…we must!

This is what happens when leadership focuses the lion’s share of legislative time to pointless culture wars. Time for Texas to focus on people over politics!

Complete abuse of power. Senator Padilla is a fine, decent man who embodies all the qualities you look for in a great leader. He is warm and welcoming, kind and gracious. I wish he were my U.S. Senator. This despicable, disgraceful assault on him is disturbing and un-American!

The way out of this nightmare, hard as it will be, is by holding our legislators accountable. We create a movement like today’s marches that ousts Trump supporters and we collectively call them on their bs every day, day after day until it’s over!

The Texas Oligarchy has emboldened the leadership of Texas with overwhelming amounts of dark money right out in the open. The young student who testified is right on the facts. These bills are about having it their way…oppression, hate and discrimination!
