Thank you to the National Dem party for waking people up to the need for a political revolution in our party. 41 days of suffering to sell us out for the same deal that was on the table day 1. Now an already unaffordable healthcare system is about to get much, much, scarier.

Today we honor all of those who have served. Brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect this country should always be honored. We must celebrate and protect the precious lives who stepped up to protect ours.

My thoughts on the Senate shutdown vote:

Was honored to have attended the ACLU & New York Civil Liberties Union In-Person Training: Protecting Immigrant Students 101. I had a wonderful time and will take this experience and the knowledge learned into my campaign and into governance. 💪🏽

While Lalota is on his two month paid vacation, I decided to show him what real leadership looks like, and protest at
his office with voters who requested I join them. We were told he was “out of the district,” so I left him a little memento, in case he needed some inspiration. 😁

Tonight’s Brookhaven Town Dems meeting honored a colossus, Ms. Rabia Aziz. While she is no longer with us, she has left an indelible mark on our community, which will shine for generations. I also wanted to congratulate Sheriff Errol Toulon and Steve Englebright on their successful reelection bids.

Today is Election Day in New York State! If you haven’t gone out to vote yet, please do! Our democracy was built on the backs of those who engaged willingly in our democratic processes. If you live in Suffolk, and in NY-1, get out there and vote for our fantastic Democrats!

Today was a great day! New York’s 1st district had their first town hall in more than 6 years, and I was happy to be the one to do it. We discussed policy, strategy, and so much more during a terrific and very candid and conversational afternoon. Thank you to everyone who showed up, and showed out!

My opponent, Congressman Nick Lalota, is a bootlicker who refuses to stand up for democracy.

Diwali ki shubhkamnayein to those in the Hindu, Sikh, Newar Buddhist, and Jaina communities who are celebrating this beautiful holiday in Suffolk County, and in the world at large. Religious freedom is the bedrock of this nation and I am proud to stand with these communities.

As I walked my dogs in beautiful downtown Northport this morning, I was reminded of what a privilege it is to actually live in the district you wish to represent. My opponent Nick Lalota cannot say the same. He lives in Amityville and he can’t even vote for himself!

It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating a dear friend, Joanne Young. Joanne is a fearless and intelligent woman who has touched the lives of everyone she’s met. I am honored to know her, and to celebrate her. The best part of this job has always been the friends we have made along the way.

As always, it was wonderful to attend tonight’s Three Village Democrats meeting. Campaigns are won by hard work, humility, and a dedication to meeting communities where they are. I’m proud to be a candidate from this district, representing this district. 💪🏽

As I was cleaning my house after a great day of listening to constituents, I came across an old hat from my college days in NYC. Defending and protecting workers has always been something that I felt passionate about, even as a student.

Union Strong, Always!

Trump has turned ICE into his own personal terrorist police force. ICE must be abolished now. These people are violating the constitution and human rights daily at the request of the GOP and the president.

Suffolk County deserves a congressman who does more than tweet. They deserve a congressman who takes action. #lukasforcongress

On today’s episode of: “How Has Trump trampled on the constitution today,” we have the continued breaking of fed law limiting the use of the military on US soil, and a harsh threat from Trump, saying that he wants to use blue American cities as “training grounds for our military”

We must say NO to the excesses of big tech and the federal government, who would sell us down the river if it meant corporations can keep experimenting with their garbage products and ruining the environment.

As electricity costs skyrocket, with the everyday American footing the bill, it's time for us to seriously hold big tech accountable for their excesses. The cost of powering AI factories should not be paid by the everyday American. AI can be a great advancement for humanity, but only if regulated.
