I did try and see via search engine if it was possible to put a date on these. From what I found, it's probably from any time in the last two decades of the 20th century. A big window of time, but still something!

Yeah, that is a scam going around on Tumblr too. No matter the advancements of infosec, it will always remain true that we shouldn't click on links from strangers. Not acknowledging the message was a good call.
