I'm tired of the idea of patriotism or the noun patriot being used to describe some d-bag who supports the systematic destruction of our constitution!! Or even worse someone who pretends it isn't happening!

Can we talk about patriotism and the American flag? The American flag was created as a symbol of resistance to imperialism and tyranny and a mark of our independence from the rule of a king.
