Does anyone know of a RELIABLE tool for screen recording long sessions on macOS?

I've been burned a ton of times by tools which seem great... and then they crash and lose the whole recording, or it turns out the audio wasn't recorded properly

Have you tried the built in screen recording tool? Command shift 5. It even asks you what audio source you want such an iPhone. I use it for short videos. Have not tried an hour. For those I use an external recording box such as Epiphan Pearl mini since I have it for MacDevOps conference recording.

People always ask me: what makes Montreal so ambitious on urbanism? (At least for bikes and pedestrians.)

I've been thinking through this and asking Montrealers, and in this video I want to cover *part* of the answer.

A very excellent video explaining Montreal’s borough system as it relates to a possible reason why this city has the best bike and pedestrian friendly streets in North America. Many courageous people working together have transformed this city over the years. I’ve seen them do it. It’s awesome.

Canada Post is a service. Like other govt or quasi-govt services, it is not supposed to turn a profit. It needs to be efficient, but so do healthcare, the military, food inspection, schools, and other govt services. We subsidize it because people, businesses & remote communities rely on it. #cdnpoli

Yeah it was 10min bus ride for me from the airport to a local friend who’d fixed up a bike for me to ride. But the train (6min) + metro (2-3 stops) 5min to hotel in city had bikes to rent too. The city is small. 15min bike rides from anywhere to anywhere. Lots of canals with a bump of a bridge. Flat

Yeah I saw two lane 1-way bike lanes on either side going with traffic with bike traffic lights. Off road protected routes, Bike only roundabouts, Raised crosswalks/sunken streets. And mirrors at every major intersection stop sign. Lights for pedestrians, cyclists and everyone else in stages. 🤯

Kingsway would be great with two way protected bike lanes and a tram running down the middle. I just came back from Amsterdam and it’s a thing there. Every single street with bike lanes. And trams too. It was nice. 👍

What's the worst intersection in Metro Vancouver, and why is it Main & East 7th & Kingsway?

More importantly: how would you redesign it?

My take: like all of Kingsway, it should have protected bike lanes. Also let's make it transit only between Main St and Broadway. And allow pedestrians to cross.

Driver fatally strikes pedestrian in East Vancouver Police are investigating after a driver struck and killed a pedestrian in East Vancouver Thursday morning.

This is the 14th road fatality in Vancouver this year and the 10th pedestrian killed, not including another 11 at Lapu Lapu.
