Not kidding even a little: Watching butterflies fly around is so good for my mental health. Even better: Listening to & watching them them absolutely house entire milkweed leaves. My favorite thing in summer is watching caterpillars just go wild on those leaves. I find it calming & restful! 💚 🐛

ALSO I will come over and help plant them if you want! (I love doing this.) Also also, I just ordered 64 plugs, in case you want some of mine. (They'll be pretty small year one-- but the butterflies still lay eggs on them & they're still useful as food for the caterpillars). 🌸

No that's a great question! Some plants are major spreaders (I am always fucking up plant spacing). With milkweed, IMO you can plant them pretty close together. Esp year 1, each stalk takes up less than a foot. You can cluster them, I think! Could fit a dozen or so in a smallish space, I think!
