Restoring a 1926 trolleybus made by Richard Garrett Engineering, Leiston, Suffolk . One of a batch of 15 sold to Ipswich Corporation Transport. Currently undergoing extensive restoration by Long Shop Museum volunteers in the former Garrett Workshop

Looking forward to meeting visitors at our first event of the year. No.26 is looking better now we have started the first fit of the original bodywork panels.

The Museum opens for the season Sunday 4th May at 10am. Come and view the progress of our trolleybus restoration and speak to our volunteers. Also a great opportunity to look at the restored roof and new windows of the Long Shop. Lots to see and do. We will have engines in stean as well

A short time-lapse film of returning the restored body back on the chassis. 3 years work led up to this milestone moment. Once again No.26 is sitting its wheels and starting to look like a trolleybus again. But there is still a ways to go before we are done.
