It's not worth arguing with idiots online, no matter their dumb tactics.

What comes from them isn't a glimpse into a different reality or a new world or something deeper and more in touch with the universe, even if it may feel that way, it's your brain trying to cope with various poisons and chemicals that you've shoved into it.

I think it's bogus. You can be and feel spiritual without getting there via substances, I'm not denying the existence of the feeling of spirituality, its a state of mind, what I am saying is that I think people place too much relevance on drugs to alter their minds, they are chemical changes.

The comprehensive fleshed out understanding of the world we have today didn't all derive from psychedelics and drugs though did it?

They certainly had a massive impact and may have even played a role in certain kinds of evolutionary mutations, but the imagined spiritual side of drugs?

I'm telling you now there's no science studying anything biological for spirituality, there's plenty of science studying things as medicine and for mental health benefits, I don't dispute that at all.

Spirituality is a completely different issue.

Cultural and religious ceremonial uses aside too.

Just a bubble universe where The Rapture did take place, but it wasn't what fundamentalist loonatic Christians thought, it was actually a galactic grooming service ran by aliens and they gave everyone new haircuts and washed them and did their nails.
