I think the blame is entirely on “us all” - imitating, copying, prettifying, desiring - and in turn becoming a monster…. Copied so many times, we become unrecognisable…And perhaps therefore - it’s a hybrid monster of a film. ;) —

The ending was not good I agree. Certainly doesn’t exonerate women being complicit in the gaze. Should it?
