The only gifts we get in the constituency is the occasional box of biscuits from a grateful constituent.

Tell me how we balance the security interests of thousands of constituency colleagues who were really worried and had experience of poor behaviour and intimidation from constituents with this?

“Any financial dealings”? My mortgage?

Surprised there’s room for any mango or pineapple juice

This is about the security of those parliamentary staff who will have to make declarations of interest for the first time. Particularly those in the constituencies who have expressed genuine fear if their full names are disclosed.

People should be able to work safely without fear of harm.

It can be art and also a saleable commodity that has to attract an audience. Shakespeare survives BECAUSE it was marketable and popular, so somebody kept the scripts.

First combat use of torpedos since 1982 as well.

That's obviously true. In the same way that the Winter's Tale stage direction "Exit, pursued by a bear" is obviously because they happened to have a bear available to go on stage at the time.

Also, scrapping a daytime soap like “Doctors” with a need for writers is not good for long term TV writing (or production).

It won’t happen. The dates will be wrong or the war won’t be big enough. There’s always an excuse for the false prophet millenialists

Given that the man the Iranians appointed to lead a hunt for Mossad agents turned out to be a Mossad agent, their record is chequered at best.

I don’t agree with the description of IPSA in this article as ‘bean counters’. Cheap insults don’t help our cause.

There is an injustice in how this settlement reflects on the pay of staff compared to their employers.

I know that many MPs recognise this too.

They have the power to fix it.

Tell you what, they made good time walking down between the indoor markets in the City Centre, then turning a corner onto the Warwick Road in Acocks Green. #SilentWitness

🎉 Democracy wins! The government has scrapped ministers’ power to influence the Electoral Commission.

The Strategy and Policy Statement risked political interference - now it’s gone!

This is a significant step towards rebuilding public trust. Free and fair elections rely on an impartial referee.

Well, that's HIM told. Jesus didn't get involved in those things. Remember "Blessed are the peacemakers who keep their noses out of what is a secular matter"

I don’t agree with everything here, but if you actually talk to real voters on their doorsteps, these are the issues that come back at you.

Sure, there are the obsessed politicos and culture warriors, but people are far more likely to talk about fairness.

Well worth a read.

I’m not sure I’d want to be on a roof top in a kinetic war. Just saying there are better places to be.

Leeds, for example.
