Yeah, it makes sense and it's certainly the least worst of the 2 options. But at the same time, I'd like to see one of the wealthiest companies in the world legally challenge the government on what is a very bad move. They've certainly got the legal capacity and strength to do so.

Sure, it would have been nice if Apple included MagSafe on the iPhone 16E, but let's face it, most of us complaining about it are not buying the iPhone 16E and getting the iPhone 16 or the 16 Pro/Max instead!
Tech sites & YouTubers are losing it over Apple not including MagSafe on the iPhone 16E
The reality is most people buying the device won't even know what MagSafe is, let alone have a MagSafe charger
It would have been nice, but not the end of the world for the target market

Bluesky has been somewhat luckily that there has been a large migration to the platform, but there is still a HUGE number of folks on Twitter, Instagram etc.
Others like Telegram, Signal, Mastodon and even Threads (yes, I know it's owned by Meta) have tried, but the engagement just isn't there.
The problem with leaving these platforms is engagement, or lack thereof. Many have tried to leave WhatsApp, Instagram etc. But when the majority of the people you want to connect with are using these, there's very little benefit in moving somewhere else where you're just gonna be lonely.

Try asking ChatGPT about genocide in Gaza or Palestinian rights - "It's complicated"
DeepSeek isn't perfect by any stretch. But a lot of the negativity is because it has hit big tech where it hurts. Money.
