The farmers are fighting the wrong battle. They should be protesting against the supermarkets bleeding them dry and the effects of Brexit. I have great sympathy over those two issues - paying a fair share of inheritance tax (like the rest of us mere mortals) - no sympathy at all.

This will (hopefully) never cease to be staggering to everyone else in the world.
