Yep, pretty much. There's too much negative connotation with the terms "No Politics" & "Apolitical" for those in the know.

I just hope that people who don't want that negative connotation & aren't morally bad people instead explain their spaces aren't the best for political discussion.

And honestly it's a pretty decent morning - while my new PC has issues at least it isn't an issue with the RAM. It's a different part that is much easier to replace.

Yeah seeing "Against Bigotry" helps alleviates my anxiety. It shows the person is knowledgeable of the nuances and wants to make their space safer for those impacted by politics.

I rather see vtubers specify what political topics they are not ok with and state what their actual beliefs (such as being pro-LGBTQIA+, against ICE, etc.)

As someone that is a POC and LGBTQIA+, I would personally avoid vtubers that state they are "apolitical" due to how vague the term is.

It's like the analogy of a mixed bowl with skittles and m&m's - am I going to eat the whole bowl?

No, I rather avoid it so I don't get a tummy ache.

For example, if you identify as:

LGBTQIA+
BIPOC
Disabled

These are considered political topics since these are protected identities in some parts of the US (I mainly know it as someone residing in California). They are also topics where people tend to be on different sides of.

Personally, I've been seeing the term "apolitical" as a red flag for vtubers. While it makes sense that people who aren't knowledgeable on politics don't want to discuss politics, it does exclude people's identities that are considered "political."

I love how it's a show not tell lore video with a focus on a quiet horror.

Watching PorcelainMaid's Porcelain Guard lore made me smile - I remember watching his streams since his 3d model days. It's nice to see him grow.

The lore video in particular inspired me a bit - a good story can be simple and easy to digest. What matters the most is how one executes the story.

Yeah, I'm not very confident with just hanging out with people behind scenes so the idea of collabs intimidates me.

I want to work on that more.

I just need to get a grip, get to know people, and let them into my life. I just have a lot of boundaries and trauma regarding people. It's a struggle to let my guard down.

I also want to grow as a vtuber too and have a bigger audience - enough where I can do charity streams and help people. Sure, it's good that I can help other streamers behind scenes but I'd like to be able to stream to help others too.
