Well- myself and a few of my peers were laid off this week.

Riot’s severance is generous, and I’ve got the opportunity to apply internally to a few roles, which I’m taking advantage of- and I’ve gotten some kind leads on external roles as well. I’ve got a little time to conduct a search.

That said- I’m immediately looking for my next role! I am:
- remote or CA based
- 18 year veteran
- looking for principal designer, lead, manager, director roles
- love souls games, ARPGs, and MMOs
- expert systems designer, esp gear, progression, economy, skills
- easygoing, skilled communicator

I just listened to the Poppy War audio book and chapter 1 is amazing - it sets up the lead, characterizes her effectively, and the chapter ends in such a satisfying way.

I wish I read this book earlier.
