Bonus that these jobs say potential for funding rather than *must* secure it. Some positions read a tad tone deaf to the current funding climate. 👏

Our new study shows that grieving climate losses together isn’t just about sorrow—it can also help build the collective strength we need for change.
This is one of my favourite papers. Check it out

My department is hiring an assistant professor of environmental behavioral sciences. The research area is open but we are particularly interested in people with research on collective action or computational social sciences.
Happy to answer questions about the Doerr School or the department.
In this @pnas.org Letter, we respond to a comment on our paper about behavioral interventions to motivate action on climate change. In new analyses exploring individual differences, we find that our leading interventions were effective across the political spectrum. 🧵⤵️

Is there a table of contents for this new book posted somewhere? SPSS is on the way out here and I’m still mulling between the JASP and R/R Studio versions. I noticed the content differences between the other two books and been wondering how the new one compares. Thanks for all the great work! 🙏

20.08.2025 11:32 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Hey @socialbrain.bsky.social, any chance that there will be an update or sequel to Social: Why Our Brains are Wired to Connect? That book made social neuroscience very accessible, but we’ve likely learned A LOT over the past 12+ years. It’d be really cool to see how you’d write it today. 🙏

On Day 1, I put the dad hat on (no dad jokes) and talk frankly about the pros/cons at this time in their lives, offer advice, and make myself available as much as possible. Most of all, be yourself—years from now, that’s what they’ll remember…
