Yes, what the Supreme Court giveth the Supreme Court can taketh away. This presupposes a different makeup of the court than this one though, so it will take time

RFK Jr. says cancer screenings are too 'woke' now. As an actual doctor, I disagree. | Opinion RFK Jr. is considering dismantling the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. This would be a disaster for public health.

Excuse the language, but this fucker needs to go. He is a clear and present danger to the health and safety of the nation and even the world.

Groceries, an old-fashioned word that means β€œsome things in a bag”. Why don’t these whiney losers just put different, cheaper things in the bag? Or stop buying the bag in the first place? Problem solved!

It’s truly remarkable how many manifestations of US political dysfunction is traceable to the Roberts Court

I hope it doesn’t mean that Garland didn’t want to be seen as trying to influence the outcome of the election

My point I guess is that the Supreme Court completely reversing 250 years of constitutional law to hand Donald Trump criminal immunity would not have been foreseeable to any Special Prosecutor. This went way beyond politics.

There are certain protected categories and Dersh doesn’t fit into any of them, which he acknowledges. He β€˜thinks’ the law should be different… And this guy used to be a respected attorney! He says he will post his video online - I guess he hasn’t suffered enough ridicule yet. Carry on!

There may have been some merit to their argument- Garland treated this case like a mob investigation, start at the bottom and get the lower targets to testify against the instigators. It’s impossible to say if starting at the top would have worked out better, given the traitorous Supreme Court

Paul Ingrassiaβ€”a 30-year-old former right-wing blogger and newly minted lawyer who was admitted to the bar in 2024β€”is Trump’s pick to lead the Office of Special Counsel.

Ingrassia has called Jack Smith a β€œdisgusting man,” accused him of β€œelection interference,” and said he should be jailed.

Nope, it was Trump’s decision to run for President. Garland appointed Smith 3 days after Trump’s announcement.

Biden could have changed these systems? How? The distance between President and DoJ was tradition, not law - although I doubt Donald Trump would be doing anything differently if it had been either illegal or even unconstitutional to direct the DoJ against perceived enemies.

Jack Smith was appointed because Trump announced his run for President. Before that AG Garland did not have a conflict. And a lot of background was already done by DoJ - that’s why Smith was so fast out of the gate. It was the courts - SC and Judge Cannon - that delayed and screwed this up.
